SIAN Matrix
SIAN Matrix List
Purpose: Configuration of the rules that determine which SIAN attributes are allowed for each product category.
The page allows the SIAN manager to define which information can be used for each SIAN category. Each row represents a SIAN category and contains several Yes/No indicators.
- Yes: the information can be populated.
- No: the information must not be populated.
- A Yes value does not make the field mandatory.
- If a forbidden value is entered, the matrix validation blocks the process and reports the incompatibility.

Use in the process
The matrix is mainly used in two situations:
- When creating or checking SIAN item attributes: it verifies that the entered attributes are compatible with the selected category.
- When generating SIAN operation lines: it checks that the information entered on the operation line is allowed for the product category.
Example
If the physical state is not allowed for a specific SIAN category, entering a physical state in the item attributes or in the related operation is blocked.
Maintenance
The matrix can be maintained manually or initialized through the default-value setup function. Initialization recreates the standard rules and deletes the existing values, so it should be performed only after assessing its impact on the current configuration.
The page therefore represents the central configuration of SIAN consistency rules, preventing the transmission of data combinations that are not compatible with the relevant product categories.
