SIAN MVV-E

SIAN MVV-E Management

Purpose

MVV stands for the accompanying document for certain wine products (for example, bulk wine in Italy and bottled wine only for small producers, as well as must and concentrated grape must shipped within the European Union; please refer to the applicable regulations).

MVVs can currently be issued in three formats:

  • Paper-based, printed in three copies: Recipient / Consignor / Carrier. The document must be validated through an authorized validating body (e.g., microfilming office, municipality, or prescribed stamp).
  • Electronic submission with validation via PEC through the ICQRF.
  • e-MVV (Electronic MVV). The shipment is managed through the web services made available by the SIAN system.

The application supports only the management of e-MVVs.

The functionality allows users to create, submit and monitor MVV-E documents for wine-product movements through the SIAN service.

An MVV contains:

  • source document;
  • consignee, buyer and carrier;
  • products, quantities and units of measure;
  • lots and SIAN attributes;
  • transport and delivery data;
  • ICQRF code and transmission credentials;
  • SIAN validation status;
  • PDF document returned by SIAN.

Access

The functionality is available from:

  • Posted Sales Shipments;
  • Posted Transfer Shipments;
  • Posted Return Shipments.

Each page provides the MVV Management action. The action creates or retrieves the MVV header associated with the current posted shipment and opens the (SIA) SIAN MVV-E page.

The action is available only when the WINE application and the required subscription are active.

(SIA) SIAN MVV-E

The page displays the MVVs created in the system. New MVVs cannot be inserted manually from the list: each document must originate from a posted shipment.

The document is identified by:

  • Document Type;
  • Document No.

The supported document types are sales shipments, transfer shipments and return shipments.

The list allows users to select multiple MVVs for submission, cancellation and PDF update operations.

Available actions

Send to Webservice

Submits the MVV creation request to SIAN.

The system:

  1. validates the shipment data;
  2. builds the request with header, transport, product and lot information;
  3. submits the request through the SIAN Web Service;
  4. stores the response;
  5. updates the transmission status and the information returned by SIAN.

The action can be executed for one or more selected MVVs.

Cancel Sending MVV

Submits a cancellation request to SIAN for the last MVV transmission.

The local record is not deleted. The MVV remains available for audit and traceability, while its cancellation status and related information are updated.

The action is available for MVVs that have been sent and have not yet been canceled.

Refresh MVV-E Print

Requests the updated MVV-E PDF from SIAN and stores it in the MVV PDF field.

Open MVV-E PDF

Exports and opens the PDF stored in the MVV.

If no PDF is available, the system reports that the PDF document is empty.

Available on the MVV card, this action generates the local MVV report using the source shipment data and the available SIAN information.

This is different from the PDF received from SIAN:

  • Print MVV generates a local report;
  • Refresh MVV-E Print retrieves the document from SIAN;
  • Open MVV-E PDF opens the stored PDF.

The manual action for refreshing the MVV-E status is currently disabled in the application.

Prerequisites and controls

Before submitting an MVV, the following information must be available:

  • active SIAN configuration;
  • valid ICQRF credentials;
  • consistent ICQRF code;
  • complete consignee and carrier data;
  • transport and delivery information;
  • items with SIAN attributes;
  • correctly identified lots;
  • updated SIAN and ISTAT decoding tables;
  • all mandatory data in the source shipment.

If mandatory information is missing, the transmission is interrupted and an explanatory message is returned. The result is stored in Response Code and Response Message.

SIAN decoding tables

SIAN decoding tables provide the values used for product classification, item attributes, validation statuses, enological practices and other MVV data.

The administrative tools allow users to:

  • import SIAN tables;
  • import ISTAT cities;
  • initialize default values;
  • configure allowed categories.

These values must be configured before creating and submitting MVVs.

Operational flow

  1. Post a sales shipment, transfer shipment or return shipment.
  2. Verify the SIAN attributes of the items and lots.
  3. Select MVV Management from the posted shipment.
