Purpose: Management of the association between SIAN operation types and their related product numbers.

The page maintains the list of product numbers defined by SIAN for each type of operation in the oenological register. The product number is a SIAN code and does not necessarily correspond to the item number used in Business Central.

Managed fields

The combination of Operation Type and Product Number uniquely identifies each definition. The same product number may therefore be used for different operation types, but duplicate combinations are not allowed.

Use in the processes

The page is used as a reference list when the user must enter the product number on a SIAN operation line.

The process is as follows:

1. the user selects or has an available SIAN operation type;
2. the user opens the product number lookup;
3. the system displays the list filtered by the current operation type;
4. the user selects a product number definition;
5. the selected product number is transferred to the operation line.

The same logic is also used in certain production and winemaking processes, where the operation type is determined by the reason code associated with the production order.

Importing definitions

The page provides the Import SIAN Product Number Definition action, which allows the definitions supplied by SIAN to be loaded in bulk.

The import file:

• uses text format with semicolon separators;
• is encoded in UTF-8;
• contains the operation type, product number and related description;
• includes a header row, which is ignored during the import.

During the import, the operation type is converted into the corresponding SIAN value and the product number into a numeric value. The description is stored within the maximum length allowed by the field.

Functional relevance

The page ensures that users select product numbers compatible with the SIAN operation type. A missing or incorrect definition may prevent the correct completion of an operation or result in the transmission of a product code that is inconsistent with SIAN rules.

The page manages only product number definitions. It does not manage SIAN categories, item attributes or the admissibility rules maintained in the SIAN matrix.
