SIAN Tables List

The SIAN Tables page allows consulting and managing the codes used in SIAN data. The types include, among others:

  • categories;
  • classifications;
  • colors;
  • origins;
  • physical states;
  • viticultural zones and sub-zones;
  • enological practices;
  • varieties;
  • countries of origin;
  • mentions;
  • PDO/PGI;
  • E-Bacchus;
  • certifications;
  • MVV-E validation states;
  • motivations and other SIAN technical codes.

The tables are provided by SIAN and are updated periodically. Updating them is the user’s responsibility and can be performed either manually or through file import, using the Import SIAN Values function. Imports must be performed by an administrative user or a user in charge of maintaining the codes. Before importing it is necessary to verify the file format and the version of the data provided by the authority.

The page also includes the Set Allowed Categories function. It is used to define and maintain the matrix of SIAN categories allowed for each register operation type. In practice, it establishes which product categories (e.g. a specific oenological classification) are considered valid/allowed for a given SIAN operation type. This configuration feeds the consistency checks that the app applies when generating or controlling register operations: it allows the system to verify that the product category is compatible with the operation type being transmitted, preventing operation/category combinations not foreseen by the oenological register rules from being sent to SIAN.
