Demand Forecast Calculation

With the SCM app, it is possible to calculate and generate a demand forecast by analyzing historical data present in the system.

It is possible to parameterize the calculation of item status within the analysis period.

For each item status, a list of possible formulas can be assigned to be used during the analysis and forecast calculation phase.
By launching the analysis procedure, the app performs the calculation by applying the formula over a defined set of periods.
The best formula is determined using MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error).

Once the analysis phase is completed, the forecast calculation can be launched.
In the request page, select the “Forecast” type and indicate the number of periods to calculate. The subsequent periods will be calculated starting from the analysis end date defined in the forecast batch.
