DocSolutions for File system (DCS) app enable integration with azure or local file storages. This allows keeping documents and media files in order linked to E.r.P records without increasing the database dimension

Quick Guide

1Install DocSolutions app in Business Central
2Load defaults setup (tables, libraries, storage locations)
3Define which storage to use: - Azure File Storage - Azure Blob Storage - Local file system (Eos Function API is needed) - In Memory (for testing purposes only)
4Copy Application ID and Secret Value in Business Central
5Start Uploading files to BC

Introduction

DocSolutions for file system (DCS) Eos Solutions app enables integration with a cloud or a local file system, this enable keeping files stored in order without increasing database dimensions and managing different location and user permissions

Note
Using Azure Files Storage or Azure Blob Storage needs an active azure subscription for this services
Using a local file systems needs a valid installation of Azure Function API, this is mostly intended for OnPrem environment but can be deployed also in Azure
Using “in memory” option is intended for testing in a BC session scope only, at the end of the session no files are stored


DocSolutions Features for File System

Thanks to Eos Solutions DocSolutions For File System (DCS) app:

  • For each table, you can manage different types of storage
  • You can create multiple storage for the same table, with different destinations
  • Integration with File system is folder based
  • 23 tables “out of the box”
  • Permssion for user or user groups are available

  • DCS is a connected APP with APP KEY and Secret (Simple). No Password are required for single users

Subscriptions

Some features of this app require a subscription.

The subscription can be activated from Subscription control panel page or directly from the notification messages that the system proposes, by clicking on the link that allows you to start the subscription wizard.

In details:

  • FREE-TRIAL-DEMO version: it’s automatically activated at first request and gives full access to all features. This trial expires after 20 days from the activation

  • FULL VERSION: it’s possibile to buy a full version that will last for 12 months following the wizard and accessing to the EOS AppStore.
