Without this module, a lease payment would simply be posted as an operating cost. With IFRS16, the contract instead generates an asset (the right to use the good) and a liability (the debt toward the leasing company) on the balance sheet, while the income statement shows the depreciation of the right-of-use asset and the interest expense accrued on the debt.
The module is used throughout the entire life of the leasing contract: from the initial configuration, to the creation of the good and the contract, to the calculation of the installment schedule, up to the monthly management of the accounting entries and the final closing of the contract.
